Imagine being a sea turtle and hatching on an isolated beach with your mother nowhere around. Your brothers and sisters have all gone and you are left alone to find your way in the world. This is what happens to Sammy the Turtle. Read of his exciting adventures as he searches for his family and learns about where he really came from. In his travels, he meets a number of interesting characters; some helpful, and others bent on eating him.

Pam Funke did a beautiful job writing this story and colorfully illustrating it. It is the kind of story that young readers will enjoy reading or having someone read it to them. I know that I plan to read it to my great-granddaughter. ~RoDorsey
